Press Release: PM Control Extended Hydro Network in New Zealand in Collaboration with Control Electronics
PM Control Systems signed a Channel Partner agreement with Control Electronics Ltd, a company located in New Zealand, on 4th August 2015 to provide a PLC based control solution for the hydro governor retrofits. We are excited about the collaboration with Control Electronics to expand our offering in the hydro products and services for our customers in Asia Pacific region. Control Electronics has been in the hydro governor retrofit business for many years. Their engineers are knowledgeable in hydro applications and skilful in PLC controls. They have successfully done many hydro governor retrofits in New Zealand, Australia and other pacific region. Their expertise, and understanding of hydro market requirements are a perfect match for PM Controls.
We believe this partnership supports PM Controls’ vision as a premier provider of product and service solutions for Energy Control and Optimisation market.
About Control Electronics Ltd
Control Electronics Ltd is a New Zealand based company with many years involvement in the Hydro Power industry. Much of its early work involved replacing old mechanical governors with custom designed and built electronic governors and Integrated Unit Controllers (IUC) for a large number of Hydro Power Stations around New Zealand, as well as Australia and the wider Pacific region. Control Electronics has considerable experience both in retrofitting older systems with newer more efficient electronic systems, and also in the production of complete new control systems from concept through to commissioning. Completed jobs include both Governors and IUCs from Francis turbines through to 6 nozzle Pelton turbines.
